I work with WorkL for Business clients offering consultancy, coaching and bespoke training to support them in engaging their employees and ultimately making their workplace a happier one to be in. Typical consultancy support includes advice in preparing to send a 'Happiness Survey' to the organisation followed by analysis of results and delivery of interventions such as workshops or coaching in response to these. Recent clients include the Genius Foods & the Fairtrade Foundation.

MHaW designs, develops and delivers bespoke mental health programmes and workshops to help to equip organisations with the knowledge and skills to remove the stigma around mental health in the workplace. They aim to normalise conversations which help organisations and their people to thrive.

Responsibilities included:- Defining the strategy and direction for VS Learning & Development team for c 1100 staff & 3000 volunteers and worked with a team of 14 field based L&D staff to deliver an agreed plan.- Defining and delivering the strategy for VS Volunteering team across key areas including recruitment, induction, recognition and communication. - Establishing a dedicated Co-Production function working with MOPAC London to deepen service user involvement in our work and delivering an agreed strategy.-Supporting delivery of VS Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategy.

Achievements include:• Working closely with Board and Senior Management Team to drive an ambitious volunteering strategy during a period of organisational change• Securing additional headcount in the Volunteering function to establish a suite of materials to empower local teams to work more effectively with their volunteers.• Leading development of a number of new voluntary roles & programmes aligned to delivery of VS core services, expansion of fundraising activity & involvement of highly skilled professionals.• Delivering a full review of all policies and procedures to ensure an easier volunteer management process & full compliance to key legislation.• Creation of a Volunteering Hub offering key advice & information in a user friendly format for staff who manage volunteers.
