The PR Council provides the PRCA with a formal mechanism to consult with the industry's most senior practitioners on the issues PR faces. The PR Council acts as a think-tank for the industry; informs the PRCA's strategic priorities; and produces helpful commentary, advice and best-practice guidance for PR professionals. I was elected for 2015, and then again in 2016.

Aperture was an insight and strategy firm for B2B sales and marketing leaders demanding a different perspective. Our work harnessed data, behavioural science and strategic best practice to transform sales and marketing performance. Sadly, while there was a lot of demand for insight, there was not a lot of budget for it!

Took over Companycare’s newly-formed Telecoms business unit, doubling its size within two years. Focused on leading communications campaigns for companies in the fixed and wireless telecoms industry, including:• GSM Association – the trade association for the global mobile industry• Visto – leading mobile email company• M:Metrics – unique mobile content consumption analysis organisation• Tellabs – wireless and fixed backhaul solutions company• inCode – independent wireless consultancy

Managed media and analyst relations campaigns for a wide variety of companies in a range of markets, these included:• T.G.I. Friday’s – American-themed chain restaurant• Retail Logic (now the Logic Group) – payment processing for the retail and financial services industries• Encorus Technologies – mobile payments company that won the Simpay contract• Siemens Communications – enterprise IP communications services and applications
