I’m accomplished in creating & producing work for TV, digital, out-of-home, and print, along with logo-design from concept to final.Following in my father’s footsteps as a 2nd generation art director I’ve worked in leading creative shops from New York City to Honolulu. I’ve been helping clients such as McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Bank of America, Volvo, and Nikon to build their brand presence and sales. Senior Art DirectorOgilvy & Mather Mar 2001 - Sep 2005HawaiiA good example of the work I did is our campaign for one of our largest accounts, the Hawaiian Electric Company, our statewide power provider.The issue they wanted to address was getting their customers to switch out their incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs to save energy.Our team developed a comprehensive media campaign, which included TV, print, radio, web, and out-of-home advertising to promote this switch-out by providing valuable coupons as an incentive… Show more A good example of the work I did is our campaign for one of our largest accounts, the Hawaiian Electric Company, our statewide power provider.The issue they wanted to address was getting their customers to switch out their incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs to save energy.Our team developed a comprehensive media campaign, which included TV, print, radio, web, and out-of-home advertising to promote this switch-out by providing valuable coupons as an incentive to consumers to make the change.It was a huge success increasing the number of coupons issued from 40,000 per year to over 1 million the next year, a factor of 25x. Initially, the client’s brand awareness and loan volume were very low within the marketplace but we were able to turn that around by providing unprecedented impact while working on a limited budget through a multi-faceted campaign, including television, radio, newspaper, direct-mail, collateral, and point-of-purchase pieces. Key to this effort we created two characters: the Loan Ranger and Pronto who exemplified the speed and care in which customers could get their loans approved and initiated. We even had the Loan Ranger and Pronto make personal appearances in the target communities to provide a face to both the client’s firm and to reinforce their value.Qualitative and quantitative research, commissioned 6 months after the campaign launch, showed dramatic results. Top-of-mind awareness for the client jumped from nearly last place to first place in their financial services category. Also, dramatic increases in loan volume occurred across the board at every one of their branches by an amazing 30%.
