In early 2008 Athabasca signed contract for 20 years with Greater Ohio Ethanol (GOE) in Lima, Ohio to supply both steam and power to the ethanol plant and excess power to the grid.GOE had an off take agreement with BP that made the financing of their plant and our CHP easier.The financial collapse of fall of 2008 plus costs overuns of the ethanol plants made GOE to file for bankrupcy protection.Athabasca tried to buy the bankrupcy and we were not able to do it.

A.S.S.I.worked with both the surface Oil Sands mines and the "in situ" Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (S.A.G.D) operators in Alberta.A.S.S.I. was involved in generating both steam and power in a C.H.P. midstream company. I filed a U.S. Patent for this cleantech process. This company concentrate on CHP for S.A.G.D and Oilsands producers.
