DNV are an independent expert in assurance and risk management and one of the world’s leading providers of independent technical and engineering services to the renewable energy industry.As head of section my primary role was supporting customers to develop, finance and construct utility scale renewable energy projects. In addition to supporting business development and managing a team of experienced engineers, I was actively involved in providing engineering consulting services in Australia, and across the Asia Pacific region.

Based in Melbourne Australia, Solar Systems was a leading developer of concentrated photo-voltaic solar technology. In my role as senior mechanical engineer I was involved in the structural design and engineering development of key system components. I was also the lead mechanical design engineer on the development of heliostat prototypes for the 154MW Victorian solar power station project. In addition to my technical responsibilities I served as a project coordinator for the CS500 dish mirror development & manufacturing program.

At Outerspace Design I worked on a number of technically challenging projects, including the high profile Optalert drowsiness detection system for Melbourne based Sleep Diagnostics. With a compressed time to market schedule I served as project manager and client liaison. In addition to providing engineering and design input throughout the project I also served as a contact with manufacturers, both in Australia and Taiwan.

Weatherford is a leading multinational service & equipment provider to the oil and gas industry. For over three years, I was a member of the research and development group down-hole completion tools and held senior design engineer positions in both Aberdeen and Houston offices. I developed enhancements and efficiencies for tools in the existing product line as well as designing innovative new products that addressed unique problems or met customer specifications.
