June 2011 to Nov 2012. Captain. MY PERLABLU. 48 mt Private. MY PerlaBlu is a privately owned yacht with three owners and managed by Burgess Monaco. PerlaBlu is considered to be one of the hardest yachts of Burgess fleet. It was a great challenge to run this yacht with only eight crewmembers with a non-stop guest’s turn over for the two seasons. We started the season in April from Malta up to October in Monaco; during this period we sailed around the Mediterranean Sea (Malta, Italy, Sardinia, Capri, Corsica, Balearic islands, SOF). I managed the winter (2011/2012) maintenance refit at Manoel Island yacht yard in Malta and organized the transport of PerlaBlu to the US water in October 2012, for dry dock and the winter season in the Caribbean islands. I was appointed by the owner of SY Allures to manage the final stage on the construction of this unique carbon fibber catamaran by Composite Works shipyard in la Ciotat (France). I was directly involved in all the classification procedures by Bureau Veritas France and the Luxembourg flag requirements for safety and safe manning. When she was finally ready, I started her commercial operation for Camper& Nicholson as a charter yacht in the Mediterranean Sea and the Caribbean islands. Tahiti French Polynesia

This small luxury cruise liner was operated by BoraBora Cruises in Tahiti and built by Austal ships Australia, running with with 35 crew and 40 guests for one week cruises around Tahiti. I joined as Relief Captain for one month and finally operated this yacht for eight months. During my time aboard we undertook a three months warranty yard period to replace all the teak decks, improve the air conditioning systems and revise the stability of the vessel.
