Integration of the Commercial Property Finance (CPF) and Structured Trade and Commodity Finance (STCF) transaction management functions into Corporate Operations, through the creation of a newly formed Middle Office function, supporting Corporate, Business Bank and Wealth Clients with both vanilla and bespoke solutions, ranging from commercial mortgages (CPF) to client specific tailored facilities (letters of credit; selective non-recourse invoice discounting, commodity transaction financing etc) (STCF).Continuation of accountability for the stabilisation and enhancement of the Receivables Finance Operations team, working closely with product stakeholders to define and execute the domestic (South Africa) and pan-african growth strategy, building scalable processes, with effective collateral management and risk mitigating controls throughout.

Responsibility for the complete restructure and overhaul of the Receivables Finance Operations team, supporting the South African Corporate market with Invoice Discounting and Factoring solutions. Core member of the business unit management and project teams, working closely with stakeholders to redefine products; design and build an effective operating model; defining, documenting and implementing end to end processes and procedures and embedding a robust control framework.

Working within the Offshore Services function for Barclays Corporate - Asset & Sales Finance, my role within Barclays Corporate revolved around monitoring and supporting the implementation of process enhancements and risk mitigating controls across our Offshore landscape and day to day functional responsibility for the our purely remote based operations teams.
