An admitted gear junkie, Richard began playing guitar and singing in A Capella groups at age 13. As his passion for music grew, he learned to play violin, piano, sax, and drums. At 15, Jim Henry took him under his wing and began teaching him the ropes running sound. At 17, Chris Bishop began teaching him recording and mixing techniques.As a Computer Science and Business major, he spent his career in Telecommunications, IT, Software Development, Business Management, Corporate Strategy, and Mergers & Acquisitions with GTE, Applied Technology, Cisco Systems, and Guru Solutions.In 2002, Richard began making the transition into the world of recording, justifying his gear addiction by launching Endeavor Recording. From FOH, Monitor Land, System Tuning, and Recording, to Studio Construction, Guitar Set Up, and Gear Repair, he has done it all.Richard has worked with some great talent, including Honor by August, No Second Troy, Rome In A Day, Steve Moakler, The Speaks, and O.A.R. He has a Grammy nomination for his work on the Double Platinum Twilight Soundtrack.

Defined the vision, mission, and strategic direction of a start up Software Development Company focused on the residential real estate market. Created a go to market strategy, identified the target markets and customer segments, and developed SAS product pricing models. Established executive relationships with large prospects and Franchisors to understand their business needs. Successfully drove product development to achieve product functionality superior to competitive products and exceed customer expectations. Developed a reseller and channel sales model including value propositions and pricing models. Oversaw the day to day operations of the company as COO until August 2007.

Took a leadership role to develop executive relationships, build a cross-functional worldwide team, and build a channel strategy for services. Developed a reciprocal relationship and channel sales model including value propositions and pricing models. Created and executed comprehensive business plans, service offerings, and strategies to achieve sales targets and channel focus. Successfully drove team to consistently exceed annual sales objectives. Leveraged Cisco’s enterprise sales team to drive customers onto the Service Providers network.

Employed as a Business Development Manager of a hardware/software integrator for Applied Technology Ventures (a Fortune 500 company). Took an entrepreneurial approach in a fast paced culture to increase revenue, improve time to revenue, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: overseeing daily activities which include profitability and scheduling, managing business development efforts, direct contact with manufacturers and resellers, bundling of applications, services, and hardware, selling rapid deployment solutions to the service provider market place, obtaining incremental services revenue utilizing our Professional Services group, partnering with account managers in an overlay structure for team solution selling, budget development, staffing requirements, providing project status and forecasts to senior management, and completing RFI’s, RFP’s, PSOW’s, and CSOW’s.
