Independent consultant providing strategy development, interim management and out-sourced business development projects. Extensive experience in all aspects of B2C member programs, including loyalty, media and telecom.

Created a strategic vision for connecting advertisers with the critical yet elusive Gen Y segment, by gaining access to exclusive data sets and leveraging that data with leading edge machine learning algorithms to present the most relevant ads through mobile phones.Selected Accomplishments:• Business Development-Carrier. Built strategic relationships with VPs, EVPs and CEOs at two of Canada’s largest mobile network operators. Sold and then negotiated a critical partnership framework with one of Canada’s largest youth focused mobile carriers. Worked closely with their VP Products & Services to develop Goto market plan and then their marketing team to define key messaging and markcomm plan.• Advertising Sales - Developed the company’s markcomm, including two websites, sales presentations, and sales collateral. Developed a charter customer program and personally sold the opportunity to a number of global brands including: McDonald’s, Nissan, Pepsi, Apple, Canon, Lady Speed Stick, Molson Coors, Paramount Pictures and Cara Foods.• Business Development-Founding Advisory Board. Secured an A+ team of co-founding executives including the former VP Marketing Fido/Rogers, the former director of marketing for Wendy’s & McDonald’s, the VP of Media at Cossette Communications, co-founder & COO of Adscape (now Google),and a senior product manager at Autodesk.

Founded a company that assists Canada’s top-tier retailers build loyalty and drive their gift-card revenues, while helping schools and non-profit groups raise funds through an innovative new type of loyalty program. Conceptualized the business, and authored business plan. Secured Letters of Intent from 6 of Canada’s leading retailers. Designed transactional website and all business systems. Following successful pilot, secured venture funding and hired initial team of four. Charged with full strategic planning and P&L management. Provided sales, marketing, fiscal, strategic and operational leadership to achieve and sustain 100% annual revenue growth while building a strong consumer brand. Led the development of a secondary market selling gift-cards to corporations as incentives and promotions.Selected Accomplishments:• Grew business from start-up to 1,900 customers in 4 years with annual revenues in excess of $36M. Systems Design. Designed customer order, partner and fulfillment portal systems necessary to support the business. Original systems and processes still in place, after 4 years. • Corporate Finance. Authored business plan and personally lead funding presentations. Secured $1.5 M in venture financing • Business Development. Personally negotiated and closed the participation of 40 of Canada’s leading retailers, including; Loblaws, Sobeys, Metro, Shoppers Drug Mart, The Bay, Sears, M&M Meats, Esso, Ultramar, Cineplex Odeon, Chapters/Indigo, Canadian Tire, Rona, Roots, Second Cup, Starbucks, The Gap, Banana Republic and Winners. Oversaw the opportunity development and negotiations which resulted in the addition of 70 more leading retailers to the program.• Transformational Change. Secured the buy-in for a pilot project with two of Canada’s largest fuel retailers and the nation’s second largest grocer to enable the reloading of gift cards through the FundScrip Website.
