Aldershot Town was the first football club to sign the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. "Seats for Soldiers" was a cooperative effort between the club and six "FTSE100" companies to provide free football tickets for soldiers and their families. Aldershot won both national and local community service awards for its efforts and we even got invited to 10 Downing Street.In late 2015 the National League followed our lead and also signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant. I'm very proud of Seats for Soldiers - being an Army kid whose father served his country honourably for 37 years. -
