Work with the CIO to develop the short term and long range strategic plan to significantly enhance IT services and reduce the total cost of IT.

Responsible for the Business Applications, Purchasing, Customer Service and Logistics for a $130 million dollar subsidiary of Mitsui and Company, USA – reporting to the CFO. NutriScience Technologies is a leading manufacturer of animal nutrition products with business units that focus on Pets, Dairy Ingredients and Feed Manufacturing.

Cleveland, Ohio

Recruited by Ernst & Young to establish the Baan ERP competency center for North America. Immediately took over project management of a multi-plant implementation for Echlin Automotive (acquired by Dana). Selected to be on an automotive enhancement team with Baan, Echlin and Ernst & Young out of Troy, Michigan to identify and eliminate the functional gaps for Tier 1 manufacturers. This team ultimately delivered the automotive extensions offered by Baan to all of their clients.

Cleveland, Ohio

Recruited by Sealy Inc., market leader of mattresses, from Massachusetts to Cleveland to join a $14 million ERP project as project manager for 3 component plants in 3 states. Managed a full-time project team including three E&Y consultants. Reported to the COO and VP-IT. Successfully implemented manufacturing, distribution and finance at three plants simultaneously. Drove process improvements through the use of the new system to attain operational and financial goals.

East Walpole, Ma.

Managed a computing environment comprised of Network Servers (Novell, NT, OS/2), VAX Cluster, AS/400 and RS/6000. Designed and implemented state-of-the art environment that provides redundancy and business continuance for 350+ clients with mixed operating systems.Managed implementation of a quality data management system to replace existing VAX-based system that utilized the latest client-server technology and Oracle database. Also managed subsequent upgrade of the ERP that addressed the Y2K risk to system. Managed documentation department with 2700+ manufacturing documents that are both GMP and ISO 9000 controlled. Implemented electronic document management system that reduced approval cycle time from 65 days to less-than 15 days. The same solution also provided corporate-wide access to view documentation from any workstation.

Project manager for implementation of an ERP solution for 1-U.K. and 4-U.S plants. Developed implementation and training plans, managed team resources, and assured an on-time implementation of the project. Established policies, roles and responsibilities for new business functions, including capacity management, forecasting, engineering change control and other essential ERP functions.

Oberlin, Oh

Warehouse Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Repair Department Supervisor. Reduced Warehouse labor from 13 to 4 FTEs by developing JIT material handling procedures including Kanban. Established GMP documentation in both production and repair departments that ensured highest quality outputs. Received Corning’s ‘Quality Apple’ award for the implementation of new testing protocols that resulted in a significant reduction in out-of-box failures.
