I am a qualified accountant (CIMA) and Barrister (non-practicing), and began my career as a Research Associate at Bristol Business School working on CIMA-funded research into contemporary developments in management accounting. Since then I have led finance teams in organisations ranging from owner managed micro businesses, SME’s and multinational plc’s as well as being responsible for IT, Legal and HR functions.I have streamlined teams, implemented new finance systems, integrated front and back office and introduced new processes. I have created financial and non-financial reporting packs, built forecast and budget models, set up subsidiaries and consolidated their accounts, secured bank and non-bank funding and been an integral part of management teams that have achieved rapid growth.
