My initial concept was ‘Bank of Government’ concept and prototype, which became GOV.UK Pay.• Led a team investigating Government as a Platform, focussing on a single source of 'payments out’ for government, with the potential to improve the user experience for millions of UK citizens and reduce fraud by hundreds of millions per year. • MVP focussed on research and business grants, requiring a mix of blockchain and open banking techniques, utilising API’s to create a single, real-time ledger of government’s financial distribution to enable analytics and fraud detection.• Utilised data/analytical investigation techniques to built full funding model, cost saving and benefits realisation plan, showing £325m p.a. savings. • Briefings with Ministers and Director Generals- gained funding of over £1m+.

Responsible for delivering digital transformation across government:• Successfully delivered ‘Student Finance’ (Student Loans Company) a GDS exemplar programmes, designed to drive the UK to be the most digital government in the G8.• Led digital transformation of Student Loans Company, embedding Agile principles & user centered design through 9 delivery teams, ensuring compliance with Cabinet Office policy.• Individual success includes full redesign of customer services, which raised customer satisfaction from 17% to 85%. Online take up increased to over 97% for 1.3 million users.• Redesigned team structures to embed new roles, including product owners, user researchers & data analysts to create self-sustaining delivery units with a customer focus.• Advisor to Student Loans Company executive board on strategy and delivery, including organisational design, Agile and cyber security. Resulted in a 28% saving (£285,000)• Used Agile techniques to integrate with 9 separate 3rd party systems, including leading finance systems.
