I'm currently a Managing Director at the Artificial Intelligence & Data consultancy Pivotl. I'm responsible for purpose, strategy, sales, delivery, growth and making it a brilliant place for people to work.At my previous company, CYB, I made £5+ million turnover, every year, for the past 4 years and‬ grew the company from 4 to 40+ people. I did this without any external investment.‬‭I developed and delivered the first public-facing Large Language Model (LLM) tooling in UK public sector history, briefed‬ the UK team at the Bletchley Declaration For AI & gave evidence on AI to the UK House of Lords.‬My background includes key roles at the London 2012 Olympics, early Government Digital Service and I‬ was Chief Digital Officer of the University of London. I’m a non-exec director of several successful start-ups.‬‭Recent highlights for me in my previous role, include successfully winning contracts, and partnerships and working on some of the most exciting tech projects in the UK right now. This includes:- strategy and delivery of large language model (LLM) / artificial intelligence (AI) tools for clients- met with UK representatives from the AI Safety Summit and Bletchley Declaration- partner of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) on AI and Machine Learning- being recognised in the top 100 tech companies by Tussell- working with key private sector clients (IKEA) and public sector (Cabinet Office, Foreign Office)I'm a non-executive director (NED) of ERIC, the UK's number 1 careers app. I mentor at several organisations including Bethnal Green Ventures as I'm passionate about technology's potential to have a positive impact on the economy, and the environment and to make people's lives easier.I run a podcast on Diversity & Inclusion in Technology (DINT) as a platform to support other organisations to understand how to build better digital teams and better digital services.My current key focus- how to run a successful company and be a great parent!Pivotl is a purpose-led organisation.
