Helped secure and participated in seed investment round of just under £1m.SAVortex is an award winning cleantech company and produces the world's most energy efficient hand-dryer (Guinness World Record Holder).

I was recruited to secure investment, strengthen the main Board, and refresh the company’s vision and strategy. I championed organisational change, restructuring product offerings to delivery entry to a cloud-based SaaS from a legacy on-premise system.• Secured US market re-entry for $2m pipeline in six months; selected new UK distributor for growth and organisational restructuring leading to increased profitability. • Secured interest for $10m investment round; acquired Authenticall from Mobix.• Led process improvements, taking company from £900k loss to £150k profit and growing revenues from £1.6m to £1.9m in under one year.

Other members of the Advisory Board included the former CEO of Phoenix Technologies and COO of RSA, Al Sisto; as well as Taher Elgamal the world renown cryptographer, who was the initial driving force behind SSL.

Led acquisition of Mobix by Swivel Secure. At Mobix, I held full P&L responsibility, appointed as the CEO by their lead investor to deliver business transformation. I created a new commercial strategy, delivered product innovation, and drove through cost rationalisation.• Streamlined operations, achieving 30% cost reduction and 82% increase in GP, and pivoting product to create, patent, and launch world’s first two-way authenticated calling platform (Authenticall).• Named Entrepreneur of the Year in Security Industry Innovation Awards in 2010 for Authenticall.

I helped secure term sheets for two £1.5m investments and a pilot with the customer for a €10m deal for Intelligent video surveillance / analysis and real-time critical security and threat detection.

I created indirect sales channels across the EMEA, succeeding in sourcing / negotiating distribution agreements with Cap Gemini, IBM Global Services, Accenture, and others, resulting in a £8m sales pipeline.

I managed existing channel distribution and the SI network, consistently hitting $1m+ per annum sales targets.

Part of a small team in international (initially 8), had responsibility for Acumen EIS and the European launch of the Strategist Telco Billing Analysis module for Kenan's Arbor BP. By the end of 1996 the international team had been grown to over 100 people with $25m+ in revenue.
