Hubert received double Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology specializing in Energy Systems, Process Control, and Energy Plant Construction. After a DAAD scholarship at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany, he served as director of the Unix Consulting Center for DIGITAL Equipment Corporation in Munich and subsequently founded Interactive Objects Software GmbH which was acquired in 2004. During his 13 years as CEO and chief consultant at Interactive Objects (>70 employees), he served as chief architect in national and international projects across diverse industries and as an expert in IT-architecture for the European Commission. In 1997 he received the highest-level certification in Convergent Engineering in San Francisco USA and proceeded to lecture at the Convergent Engineering Institute worldwide. In his J. Wiley/OMG-Press book "Convergent Architecture" he introduced the concepts of Convergent Architecture and IT-Architectural Styles. A frequent speaker and keynote communicator on "applied common sense", Richard is an IASA-Fellow (International Association of Software Architects, https://itabok.iasaglobal.org/iasa-fellowship/ ), an IEEE.org Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and certified Energieplaner24.
