Much of my senior career has been in large, complex multinationals, including NYSE and FTSE listed organisations. I’ve held P&L accountability for regional businesses of ≤ c£400m in sales, leading teams across multiple jurisdictions. I have strong insight into different cultures and how to achieve business success in numerous countries around the world. I have lived and worked in Europe and Asia for global companies and managed customer and supplier relationships in North America, experience which has given me first hand insight into the business cultures in numerous geographies around the world.I’m an active contributor to strategy and operational effectiveness at board level. I was recently described by a fellow Board member as ‘the most genuine person in the room’, and it’s certainly true that I am objective and transparent; I work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver success for the business. I believe that the role of a senior executive is to deliver substantial improvements to business performance; to equip companies with sustainable platforms for growth and to create a responsible, positive environment that develops employees. Doing the right thing, acting with integrity at all times and ensuring accountability are the principles that govern how I operate. I know what to communicate, how, when, and to whom, and do so intuitively. Working at all levels of the organisation is something I do naturally - listening as well as sharing information. I bring huge energy to the team, and having a sense of humour ensures that we keep things grounded, especially when business is intense and challenging.Outside work, I’m a real outdoors person. I’m a keen runner, trail walker and cyclist, and have completed various challenges in the UK and overseas. I believe in lifelong learning, am an avid reader of business literature and enjoy broadening my knowledge with insights into new approaches and concepts.
