I founded the practice to create ASTUDIO full of talented designers. We have succeeded in developing our team, the best in the industry, from experienced architects to part 1 and part 2 students. We won the Building Magazine's coveted Architectural Practice of the Year in 2012, an unprecedented level of achievement after only 5 years in practice. My role as one of the Directors in the studio is to ensure we are able to work on exciting, diverse and challenging projects. We make every project a unique learning experience for all involved.We believe that each of our projects should have a civic place making quality, we use scale, material and form to their greatest benefit, both socially and environmentally.We have an in house environmental engineer to help us design the most efficient buildings, reducing energy use and improving efficiency in whole life costs of our designs.My skills as an architect are best focussed on projects that require both a pragmatic and unique solution. With a great deal of experience gained from my many years spent learning at Foster and Partners together with the development of our work in Astudio, I have learnt to understand how best to design buildings balancing value and cost. I have designed and built a number of seminal projects, from museums to High Rise Towers, as well as worked in a Design and Build environment.
