I have over 20 years’ experience in ecological consultancy with four years’ experience in biodiversity-related research prior to that. I am a chartered environmentalist and full member of CIEEM currently leading a rapidly growing team of ecologists in the Bury St Edmunds office of Wardell Armstrong/SLR Consulting. I seek to turn biodiversity into an asset for businesses, helping clients avoid deleterious impacts on biodiversity wherever possible while looking for opportunities to enhance biodiversity in ways that add value for their projects.I have been developing innovative methods of assessing sites for protected species, habitats and biodiversity to enable more objective, science-based and reliable assessments that work within industry standards. This fits in with my overall fondness for developing systems and methods for increasing quality and efficiency, developed during my previous experience of starting and running an ISO 9001:2015 and CIEEM registered ecological consultancy. With the advent of Biodiversity Net Gain, I have been particularly training and promoting botanical skills to ensure that BNG assessments (both habitat and condition identification) are as accurate as possible for clients.
Listed skills include Ecology, Wildlife, Environmental Issues, Entomology, and 9 others.
