I have been working in heritage planning for over ten years now, in both the public and private sectors. Over this time I have built up an extensive knowledge and wide experience ofdevelopment affecting the historic environment, through my involvement with varied projects, big and small, right across the United Kingdom.In my current role as Associate Director within the heritage team at Turley, I provide specialist heritage advice to both public and private sector clients. I am adept at identifying the constraints and opportunities presented by heritage assets in the development of buildings and sites, and promoting such schemes in negotiation with heritage stakeholders to secure successful solutions for our clients.I am experienced in preparing heritage appraisals, assessments and statements to inform or in support of application proposals; making representations responding to applications to add buildings to the statutory list; developing and preparing conservation area character appraisals; preparing heritage statements for appeals (including giving evidence at public inquiry); and other bespoke studies and reports.
