About Richard Kershaw

I am a technology business leader with 20 years' experience establishing and growing businesses and consulting practices in new markets. I use a combination of technology and governance to help clients with data challenges.I have built successful businesses in Japan, the Hong Kong SAR, Switzerland, and the People's Republic of China. This has included writing strategy, presenting to leadership and company boards, recruiting talent and creating eminence, as well as managing day-to-day operations and P&L. I have also built investment cases for new service offerings and technology, including data centres. All of my recent positions have involved integrating local market strategy into, and further contributing to, global strategy.I help clients with data challenges, primarily in a legal and compliance context. My experience on the proactive side includes information security policy design and technical assessments, operating models for investigations and discovery, segregation of regulated data for M&A transactions, and records retention compliance and remediation. I also assist clients responding to critical events, using technology to understand content of structured and unstructured data for forensic investigation, regulatory matters, and discovery.
