CtoApion Tss 1995 - 1999This was a Executive Director position with specific responsibility for building shareholder value by creating and implementing a strategy to take the company from software outsource services to product development. This was achieved by implementing an innovation process centred around creation of a “Technologies” function. This resulted in a number of R&D projects being set up, the most successful of which was the “Binnian” WAP Gateway. Responsibilities included technical strategy, leading the development team, instigating a full product development organization and securing initial customers for Binnian. The product development organization was established at the start of 1998 and grew to 120 people at the time the company was successfully acquired by Phone.com in 1999.
