• Ratanak is a local charity (income of $1.5 million) that raises funds for projects in Cambodia, helping the country rebuild its infrastructure, post civil war. Positioned to launch internationally in October 2010.
• Reporting to the Founding Director, was responsible for, all aspects of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, bank deposits and.
• Set up computer based accounting system, resulting in consolidation of financial records and easy electronic access through data entry from paper and Excel records.
• Successfully guided the charity through its first financial audit by establishing systems and procedures to be compatible with GAAP.
• Created protocols and policies for projects to apply for and receive funds resulting in compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s new rules and regulations for sending funds overseas.
• Implemented reporting systems, timetables and formats for Cambodian projects to be transparent with CRA and donors.

• The White House Hotel is a small resort hotel in a unique setting, in the English Channel Islands. The island was only accessible by boat and was 3 square miles, with one hotel, one pub, and a gift shop.
• Managed the hotel’s resident-only lounge, serving cocktails and light meals. By building relationships with the recurring hotel guests and the locals, was able to ensure a memorable holiday.
• Welcoming up to 2000 visitors daily, who would disembark ferries from the main island, into the public bar and catering to them with light meals and drinks, required organization, preparation and patience.
• Set up BBQ’s on the hotel lawn in a marquee for company events and weddings of up to 500 guests. Responsible for the set up, co-ordinating the food, bar, wine and organising staff.
