I am a Chartered Engineer with over 40 years in project management, road and bridge design and construction administration in UK and South / South East Asia. The experience gained in a senior position in the UK highway and bridge construction industry on major prestigious road projects is coupled with my enthusiasm for improving the engineering management in developing countries . My work has included setting up a Central Monitoring System for monitoring road and bridgework progress, physical and financial, throughout the Roads and Highways Department in Banfgladesh bringing a tool of transparency to the department.Currently I am in Addis Ababa advising the Ethiopian Road Authority on performance of contractors and consultants and developing a unit rate estimating system for them.Specialties: Project Management, Institutional Development and Contract design and administration
