I have over 20 years experience in executive and managerial roles in the technology, education, and entertainment industries, including serving for more than 15 years as the Chief Executive Officer at Allyis, Inc., a company I founded with two partners in the summer of 1996.As of February 1, 2012, I passed the daily operational responsibilities of CEO to my colleague Jason Herman, so that I could focus more time and energy on my interests in a handful of startup companies; on August 1, 2013 Allyis merged with Green Infosystems -- I am currently pursuing a number of new ventures.=====Allyis focuses on developing workplace technologies that help medium to large companies with collaboration, knowledge management, and data management issues, and specializes on the Microsoft technology stack with a key focus on SharePoint and cloud productivity applications such as Office 365.Allyis also develops intranets to connect employees and digitally extend corporate cultures, define knowledge management strategies to surface expertise and information within organizations, and provide personnel to develop, publish, and manage both internal and external content.Educationally, I hold an M.A. from Western Washington University where I taught for two years before leaving in 1995 to join a technology group at Microsoft.My long term goal is to use my experience and knowledge of technology and business cultures to assist organizations that benefit education, social services, and moderate, pragmatic political causes; I have also become increasingly convinced of the necessity of serious campaign finance reform and a broad retooling of the American secondary and higher education system to focus on critical thinking as prerequisites for continued American competitiveness in the 21st century.Specialties: Corporate governance, consulting, financial analysis and forecasting, writing, speaking, and teaching.
