SMMT is the UK trade association for the automotive industry. The role focuses on strengthening the UK supply chain by engaging with member and non member companies ranging from OEMs and Tier 1s through the upstream to Tier Ns, developing relationships and an understanding of companies' core capabilities and requirements as well as key issues and challenges they face. I also develop and support various supply chain projects that include (but are not limited to) areas of focus such as funding programs, Automotive Council workstreams and supply chain events.In addition to this, as part of the membership team, the role focuses on recruitment and retention of new and existing members through regular engagement, identifying opportunities and developing and executing recruitment campaigns as well as creating and delivering member benefit products and services.
