This is a newly created role to expand our market into the local China homegrown conglomerates space. I was asked to start this practice from scratch, responsible for developing strategies, determining processes, methodology localization and local language collateralization. Also responsible for developing and rolling out KPIs and leading all related data collection activities for performance analysis and management reporting. - Accountable for the P&L forecast and budget management of the newly created business division, building and growing business opportunities within China's homegrown conglomerate customers and prospects. Hands-on for all talent acquisition activity for external customers- Concurrently, also taking charge of the Guangzhou office as General Manager, responsible for day-to-day operations management, and the driving and managing of key leadership and strategic initiatives for the office.

This is a newly created role and I was asked to act as the key contact on all training initiatives and is responsible for coordinating group-wide efforts on performance development. Assists the company management on a variety of operational issues across the different offices.- Drive the development of a systematic workflow process for the PD function, consolidated and updated key training progress records for all staff across the Group, and successfully executed several key training initiatives. Also helped in the drafting of several company procedures and assisted in their implementation.

This is a newly created role and I was asked to build an internal recruitment model for the Group and roll it out to all the offices. Responsible for setting up the entire function from scratch (including developing strategies, determining recruitment processes and systems, creating, implementing and managing programs to build talent communities for the various business units). - As a "Recruiter of Recruiters", held responsibilities for networking across a multitude of companies and industries identifying, motivating and recruiting talented recruiters or industry experts to join MRI China Group. Also, assisted senior management in driving group-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives for talent attraction and build employer branding - Coached, mentored and managed a team of 2 recruiters in fulfilling the hiring requirements put forward by the Group. The Internal Recruitment Team has to-date completed various surveys (salary & compensation, employer branding, etc) and data collection which helped provided critical decision-making business intelligence for the company. Successfully groomed one of the two recruiters to take on my role as Head of Department.- At the same time, also responsible for taking a lead role for all internal hiring processes across the company's six offices (Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea), ensuring that the hiring process flow is both effective and efficient. Accountable for streamlining recruitment processes, improve talent sourcing capabilities, and proactively build talent communities- Achieved a total hire of 47 and 53 new employees across the six offices within the Group in 2006 and 2007 respectively with an average time-to-fill rate of 32 days. Of the 26 Business Consultants (& above) hired, 12 of them each successfully billed over 1 million and above in revenue after one-year service.

- Responsible for managing the entire executive recruitment and selection process for regional (Asia Pacific) search assignments within the Logistics/ Supply Chain and Flavors and Fragrance vertical markets.- Lead the talent acquisition activities for my clients and has been successful in placing mid- to senior level roles e.g. GM, Operations Director, Supply Chain Director, Asia Procurement Manager, Perfumers, Flavorists, Food Technologists and Sensory/ Evaluation professionals etc.

During his earlier years in the business, he worked as a generalist recruiter across different sectors the likes of Transportation, Logistics/ Supply Chain, Consumer, High Tech and IT. In 1999, he transitioned into a specialist role focusing on Logistics/Supply Chain, serving predominantly 3PLs, Freight Forwarders and Shippers across Asia Pacific, based out of Singapore. During the same period, out of personal interest, he also developed a secondary niche focus within the Asian Flavors & Fragrance industry.
