I am based in RAP's European team supporting national and EU level goals for carbon reduction, renewable energy deployment and consumer protection. I currently co-ordinate RAP's heating work across Europe and our international heating work, leading major multi-institution projects and contributing to more detailed analysis. I am a very part time Research Fellow. I previously worked as part of the UK Energy Research Centre's 4th Phase focusing on heat decarbonisation and the governance of infrastructure for net-zero. I am currently a P.I. on the EPSRC 'Flex Cool Store' project led by Cardiff University. I lead the policy work package.

I led core geography modules as well as the department's energy transformation module. During the pandemic I was the department's lead for teaching digitalisation managing a small team delivering high quality digital content. I was awarded the Dean's commendation for my teaching efforts during the COVID pandemic.

I returned to academia to work towards a policy relevant PhD where I am focusing on the policies and regulation required for an increasingly low-carbon energy system. My PhD is investigating the impact of companies, people and organisations on UK heat policy between 2003 and 2015. I have focussed particularly on the Government's Renewable Heat Incentive.

Policy and regulatory analysis and engagement on gas connections and RHI policy.

In this role I led the team responsible for understanding and managing government energy policy. This included analysing the potential impacts of policy on the company as well as engaging with policy makers to ensure that the companies interests were represented to Government. I was responsible for all relations with both the UK and devolved Scottish.

Representing the business in Westminster to a range of government and other stakeholders. Developing distributed gas and general gas policy for a low carbon future.
