Network Engineer
CurrentAssigned to the 644 Combat Communications Squadron . My work included configuring Pacific Air Force Fly-Away communications kits that provided remote NIPR/SIPR services across the PACOM AOR and configuring Large and Medium expeditionary communication packages (Cisco routers and switches, REDCOM phone switches/HDX/Slice, SONUS VX900 Shout, KG 175D) that provided unclass and secret data/voice for 400-800 personnel.I also led in-house equipment training for new personnel and was responsible for asset management for IT equipment valued over $2.1M.AWARDS: Air Force Achievement Medal - Earned for deployment to South Korea in support of Pressure Campaign to deter North Korean aggression. This included standing up two large comm packages in co-located operated bases in South Korea and deploying Communications Flyweight kit to support over 100 personnel providing unclassified and secret data, voice, and video. I also managed the co-existing base infrastructure performing tech refreshes on Cisco Switches, VoIP, desktop clients, and supported a large exercise for over 1500 deployed personnel.
