Mr. Maranda has over 20 years of experience, 12 of which are in the design of transmission lines. His 8 years with Hydro Québec gave him a deep understanding of its network. Mr. Maranda joined BBA in 2010 and has been Team Leader of the Transmission Lines Department since 2011.His technical expertise combined with his leadership make him an ideal coordinator for projects involving a variety of expertise.For Hydro-Québec, Mr. Maranda performed a wide variety of conductor thermal enhancement studies, cable sag and tension calculations, load calculations, tower design, line routings and tower testing.His latest projects as Lead Engineer include:- The Rehabilitation plan for a 600 km 735 kV Transmission Line- The detailed engineering of a 138 kV transmission line located in a mountainous region of Stewart, B.C., with elevations from 50 to 1,500 m. Project with an innovative optical phase conductor to replace the OPGW.- The optimization of the detailed engineering of a 90 km steel tower transmission line in Mali, Africa.Mr. Maranda has performed preliminary and detailed engineering of numerous projects and provided technical support on construction sites for prestigious clients such as IAMGOLD, TransAlta and Rio Tinto.He also has experience in designing building structures and electrical substations
