Create and maintain an efficient operation, while providing exemplary customer service, and managing 2 different sides of the business: Parts Sales and Recycling. Increase income month over month by minimizing costs and driving higher sales as well as capitalizing on recycling revenue. Convey organizational objectives to a staff of 50 that included 4 managers, between the 2 locations. Analyze Sales and Production reports to maintain focus on exceeding goals, create a culture that emphasizes safety, which surpasses company requirements as well as maintaining the highest environmental standards required of a company that recycles hazardous materials. RESULT: Operating income increased up to $1.2 million and yearly sales would increase by 2400 cars a year.Facilitated an increase in the Dealer Consignment business at the Atlanta facility by marketing and aggressively pursuing the reseller market. RESULT: Increased total vehicles sold by 10% and the location became the third largest Dealer Consignment selling facility out of 140 yards at the end of the fiscal year in 2010. Involved in opening the Eugene, OR location for Copart. Part of the initial hiring of, as well as finding and negotiating with, local vendors for services needed to run the location. RESULT: Achieved profitability despite high operating costs required for a first-year establishment. Was selected as “Rookie of the Year” out of 40 new GM’s after receiving four perfect CAS audit scores and for leadership shown throughout the first year of the location.Negotiated with vendors and tow companies to achieve lower rates at which they were providing services for us at the Atlanta Copart location. RESULT: Achieved the lowest cost per car sold average for the fiscal year 2007 and 2008. Selected to be part of a committee designed to lower sub haul costs based on success in this area.Developed a system in which employees were challenged and given additional responsibilities beyond normal job descriptions. RESULT: 15 managers that worked under my leadership ended up being promoted to Assistant General Manager’s or higher.
