As the Head of Digital Portfolio at the UoL, I lead teams in developing digital strategies to achieve business outcomes through technology changes. Strategic planning and organisational change enables me to work collaboratively with different departments to produce product visions and roadmaps that feed into Agile Product Teams. I also engage in governance processes to get technology investment business cases approved and planned.To identify opportunities for innovation and create excellent experiences for our communities, I work closely with technical experts and strategic technology partners. Identifying, validating, and shaping the demand for digital products from assigned areas, and driving delivery for prioritised items. Communication and engagement with colleagues across the division are vital aspects of my role as I strive to ensure that everyone understands the strategy of our area and why change is taking place.I maintain a customer-centric approach to product and project prioritisation and delivery, aligned with strategic objectives. I maintain the Demand Portfolio and produce a reports containing an overview of all demand within the portfolio. I define key Demand Portfolio performance metrics and targets and produce management information reports based on those metrics and targets.I provide leadership and line management to the Digital Portfolio Team, promoting and enabling excellent teamwork to achieve good outcomes through virtual teams of staff drawn from across Digital Services. I play an active role as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, with regular contact with key stakeholders across the University. I manage the current and future portfolio of demand and ownership of the resource management planning process, ensuring that specialist needs such as information security, data protection, purchasing requirements, and financial regulations are considered and observed as appropriate to the project deliverables.

Creating methodologies, standards and dependencies according to which projects are designed.Providing European Electronique with the structures, tools and techniques needed to ensure that it has the right programmes and projects in place, that operational and change priorities are balanced. Responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) in innovation within intelligent mobility. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality control guidelines throughout the full project life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery, and verify that the project produces the required deliverable's of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.

Line management• The Media Production Manager is the line manager for Media Coordinators (G6).• The Media Production Manager leads the provision of temporary Media Assistant work by liaising with Senior Project Managers over their project resourcing requirements for Media Assistant work and deciding which tasks to keep within the production team and which to use temporary staff.Team Leadership• To lead a team of Media Coordinators and Media Assistants in the production of media-rich learning material, including websites, books and ebooks, that meet agreed requirements of timeliness, quality and cost.• Line management of the G6 members of the team, workload planning, resource management, and continuous improvements.• Motivate team members to work collaboratively to ensure coherence and integration across services.• Determine and communicate objectives and responsibilities.• Allocate tasks according to service requirements and skills of team members.• To be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and control of production tasks, to inform Senior Project Managers, Production Managers and Resource Managers of production issues and propose informed, feasible solutions.• Assist Senior Project Managers in the planning, scheduling and coordination of Media Assistant production tasks.• Allocate production tasks to in-house Media Assistant staff levelling resource as necessary across the production team.• Ensure temporary Media Assistant staff are briefed effectively by Media Coordinators and Media Assistants on the requirements of the tasks contracted to them, briefing directly on occasion.Specification and Design• Obtain relevant and accurate information on production requirements from Senior Project Managers and advise SPMs how these can be met using agreed processes.• Identify and address any constraints imposed by partners, technical development and organisational requirements in the implementation of production.
