Richard's team of five was tasked with mapping out the waste management ecosystem in Bali Indonesia and testing the viability of our client's proposed solution. To do this, the team conducted demand analysis and market sizing for new waste management technology in the Bali market and then provided technology feature recommendations supported by primary and secondary research: 82 interviews, 5 focus groups, and global industry benchmarking. Lastly, the team constructed and vetted multiple value chain options for client to take product from ideation to market.

As a supply chain coordinator, Richard managed several internal and external cross functional teams. He directly oversaw the Samsung Atlanta distribution center, where he identified and implemented operational enhancements and organizational best practices. As a direct result, warehouse productivity increased by 187% in 2013 YoY. Richard was the project manager for the 2014 contract renegotiation with our transportation vendors. Through careful data analysis, he redesigned the 2014 contract to include reduced baseline rates and increased built-in incentives, thus improving vendor performance and reducing costs. In 2014, Samsung's costs will be reduced by $2.2 million or 13.9% YoY.

Richard collaborated closely with the senior global marketing team to provide project management, data and marketing trend analysis, and presentation material development. He championed the development and execution of Avnet's social media marketing efforts: the first-ever social media campaign for Avnet's global seminar series: X-Fest 2012 and the branding of Avnet marketing as AvnetDesign.
