The curriculum has been successfully delivered in support of Shell's ongoing global work management process development. Additional coaching of the planner skills training and processes is on-going and is touching all parts of the work management process throughout the refinery. The target audience were the refinery’s planners and planner supervision. Their background included rotating equipment, pipefitting, instrumentation, and electrical.

Senior Project Manager for Training and Development for RMG. RMG's Routine Planner Skills Level 100 training is focused on delivering practical planning skills that can be delivered in routine day-to-day operations. The 5 modules incorporate: planning’s business impact, role of the planner, operational definitions, check list impact, scoping, job stepping, hard and soft logic, resource loading, labor identification, risk assessment and mitigation planning, costing, job package assembly, feedback and lessons learned. This fundamental curriculum was developed by a seasoned RMG team including: Richard Knight, PMP, Dr. Brian Becker, Anthony Covato, PE and David Myers, PM. The Level 100 is designed to be delivered in support of RMG's work management implementation. The curriculum has been successfully delivered in support of RMG’s work management implementation at multiple sites to include Holly Frontier. The target audience were the refinery’s planners. Their background included rotating equipment, pipefitting, instrumentation, and electrical. Given the modularization of the curriculum, the training sessions could be tailored to meet the specific needs of plants.
