I retired from Zurich in November 2022,and now work part time, with one of the ‘hidden gems’ of financial services - ILAG, as they look to cement their place in an ever changing financial services environment. I’m very excited to be working with the ILAG team. My FS career has spanned over 36 years, joining Royal Life in Ipswich in 1987, then at Zurich for 20 years. My previous jobs in retail sales ensured I've always had a great customer focus and that continues today. I am passionate about the profession I work in and I'd like to think that shows in my day to day engagement with my ex-colleagues and peers. I now share all that experience I’ve gained when mentoring in universities, schools and for colleagues. I am a Multi-Academy trustee and board member for Sigma that includes my local secondary and primary school as well as giving my support for Cannons Basketball club as chairman. Previously an associate member of the Institute of Leadership and Management - when I completed my training to be an Group Scout Leader, after 17 years volunteering, I’ve now stopped Scouting to fit retirement in!I’m was previously a past chair of the Protection Practitioners Group with ILAG and as mentioned, continue to work with them today. I am also a member of the PFS, achieving a DipPFS qualification.
