After completing my Chartered Accountant qualification at University of Canterbury, followed by three years in Price Waterhouse's audit department, I decided pure accounting wasn't for me. While undertaking an MBA part-time at UoC, I joined Cyclone Computers as their General Manager, and over the next 26 years became a Shareholder and Director, then Managing Director and am now Board Chair. I have a strong history of working in the information technology and IT services industry, albeit with a finance and a people and culture focus. In 2022 I stepped back from day-to-day involvement with Cyclone to explore other business and governance opportunities.I recently joined the Board of Canterbury Angels and look forward to increasing my input as an investor and an advisor to some of Canterbury's (and New Zealand's) most promising early-stage innovators.
