Oversees all areas of information technology for the Rio Grande Credit Union; along with system administrator and two technicians. Provide network and computer support to more than 100 employees in five locations. Play a key role as IT manager, responsible for providing governance in the creation, evaluation, and management of network policies on an annual basis to ensure completeness and accuracy. Thoroughly assess current trends and technologies for strategic initiatives to align with company goals and mission statements. Work closely with vendors to ensure updated contracts; while negotiating new or renewal of contracts to improve provision of services. Interface with vendors on new initiatives and technologies to ensure they meet the credit union's requirements and current structure of the network. Establish baseline and network security requirements through auditing and vulnerability tools to remediate and reduce exposure to threats. Perform network security triad; confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Conducts baseline and tests network availability through quarterly tests to ensure system redundancy as required. Manages disaster recovery to ensure business continuity in the event of austere conditions. Guarantees the availability of all network equipment and services to meet employee’s needs. Expertly handle Hyper-V environment, network storage, and all applications running on local servers to ensure current software versions and all patches and updates are applied on a weekly basis.

58Th Special Operations Wing

Managed 22 military and 20 contractors in day-to-day operations of the 58th Special Operations Wing Network. Responsible for day-to-day actions of the IT department to include systems management, desktop support, information assurance, policy creation/management, and budgeting. Manages work schedules, annual budget of $500,000, $5 million in computer assets, and > 500 tickets monthly. Worked with outside vendors who provide services to the 58th Special Operations Wing. Works special projects and planning future technology upgrades. Looks at current and new technologies to determine future technological procurement and implementation. Last project worked was the migration from a desktop environment to a virtual environment.

Kirtland Air Force Base New Mexico

Reported directly to the Vice Wing Commander for all Information Technology related areas. Supported 2,000+ users and 4,000+ IT assets. Responsible for executing annual budget of $500k on network upgrades, computer replacement, and training. Direct supervision of 19 military with oversight of 22 Information Technology contractors. Expert in writing policies and procedures on Disaster Recovery, Network Security, Business Continuity, and Network Security Planning.
