As founder of Living Projects, strategic communications and storytelling collaborations - with a focus on personal stories and communities - took me from Maui to Helsinki, Kuwait and Beijing for NGOs and organisations including The Economist, Microsoft, The Homes and Communities Agency, DocuSign, The NHS, Expedia, Standard Chartered, G2, Santander and The Royal Navy. Track record included delivering highly effective campaigns through detailed research, writing and foresight planning, while creating visually moving stories, drawing out engaging content from non-acting and acting talent alike. Awards included Evcom gold, Clios and the BT Sports Industry Awards International Campaign of the year.Alongside short form I produced/directed several documentaries, including the award winning short 'The Horse Whisperer', a four part TV series "Morbidelli Rising" and the independent feature length doc, 'Deep Breath', exploring the motivations of competitive deep water freedivers.

(Advisory Board 2007-2017) A social enterprise with a mission to transform UK housing by engaging cross-industry to develop collaborative networks, enabling education & disrupting outdated planning processes to accelerate sustainability and quality of residential and mixed used built environment across the UK.- Producer/Director of over 30 educational films spreading exemplar practice through community sourcing and people focussed storytelling.- Curating, planning and delivering 40+ learning/networking events and 5 national conferences - Aligning funding partners to commission and publish government & NGO backed industry research- Designing, delivering and building the first visually orientated online resource to connect designers with private and public sector developers into a profit making entity, radically changing the approach to design curation from existing industry bodies. - Speaker on sustainable urban design across UK and international conferences including Sweden and Colombia- Initiation, development and beta launch of UK's first free to use Land Value Calculator as a means to giving local communities, NGOs and private landowners an insight negotiating tool in commercial dealings.- Developer of disruptive design standard guidelines Building for Life, for scale appropriate housing developments, subsequently integrated as best practice across local government planning frameworks.Having set up his own consultancy, Living Projects, in 2008, Richard remained as a DFH board Director until 2017 and maintains a strong interest in promoting social impact alongside sustainability within the built environment.
