Key Achievement – Led the team to deliver a 60% reduction in the financial variance to budget of the primary brewery waste stream.Lead on the ReBOT (Regional Brewery Optimisation Team) focused full time on the minimisation of extract loss. The role required assurance of the MES and data systems accuracy and repeatability and effective presentation through MIS and reporting systems. Analysis of the loss manufacturing data was routinely analysed to identify focused improvement opportunities which were delivered in partnership with operations. Effective communication with senior management and across the brewery, as well as sharing learnings across the hub, was a core responsibility.Key Improvements Delivered:- 85% reduction in primary cause of product destruction through HAZOP studies and robust process redesign.- Fermentation stability through implementation of effective usage of ABER Yeast Monitors and oxygenation rate stability.- Operator problem solving guides and Process Walks to address plant related losses and reduce response times to out of control situations.- Extension of reporting systems to highlight data integrity issues to operators.- Widespread awareness driven through site-wide dashboards and communication campaigns
