Programmable from 2 MHz to 2 GHz, the radio demonstrated an ability to switch between HF, VHF, UHF, and satcom for voice, data, or video. The prototype led to a Programmable Digital Radio patent, and was instrumental in securing contracts for the Army’s Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS).
