Joining in April 2014 I established the Group Treasury function within Finance. Responsible for a small team managing the groups payment execution and short term cash flow forecasting. Established provision for hedging Foreign Exchange exposure and have driven recommendations to minimise risk. Developed and produced routine and ad-hoc investment reporting for Senior management. Set-up facilities to allow the investment of surplus cash while observing potential Solvency II impact. Assisting in the transition of claims payments from cheque to BACS.

• Responsible for the Groups EMEA Global short-term liquidity needs, primarily in sterling, up to a duration of 18 months.• Managed domestic and international liquidity ratios required for regulatory purposes.• Oversaw short term sterling issuance programme including pricing of Certificate of Deposits, Floating Rate Notes and Structured Deposits.• Provided regular reporting on market activity, Group liquidity needs and current risk profile.• Utilised Forward FX Arbitrage to circulate surplus cash from one currency to another, maximising return where possible.• Hedged rate and sensitivity exposure using derivatives to reduce overall risk profile when prudent.• Traded derivatives on a proprietary basis to create added value, by defining entry and exit points using the technical analysis of charts while maintaining positions within the defined risk parameters.• Maintained relationships with Financial institutions and service providers, to establish preferred counterpart status.
