Focus: Classification of Novel Bacteriophage• Assisted Graduate Researcher in project focused on developing new expedited method of classifying bacteriophage into phamilies by omitting purification phase of bacteriophage detection• Cross referenced PhagesDB and NCBI database with Mass Spectrometry data under stringent and relaxed settings to confirm the validity of new method for classification of the bacteriophage

Project: Late phase Process Development in Cell and Gene Therapy, Chimeric Antigen Receptor Technology (CAR-T)• Streamlined and optimized post thaw re-stimulation of CAR-T therapy product through elimination of pre-stimulation incubation as well as improved conditions for cell growth, improving growth rate by 39%• Developed updated batch record for CAR-T therapy product post-thaw re-stimulation in order to improve overall efficiency and output• Performed comparative studies of different cell counting/viability devices in order to implement NC200 in CAR-T production and reduce overall process time by 10 minutes each run

Project: Nrf2-Mediated Redox Signaling and Pharmacodynamics Response• Contributed to research project focused on studying and understanding the mechanism behind the Nrf2 pathway and analyzing phytochemicals on their ability to induce the Nrf2-mediated anti-oxidative stress signaling in different mammalian cell lines • Harvested and grew cell cultures of PC3 and LnCap cancer line cells for tests then ran qPCR and western blot analysis with the cell lines treated with curcumin to analyze expression of antioxidants that reduce oxidative stress
