• First Emergency Manager hired by the Episcopal Church to develop an emergency management program. Developed a network of emergency coordinators in each of the 100 Dioceses in the United States, and a template for Dioceses to use when creating an Emergency Response Plan.• Initiated the development of a National Response Plan for the Episcopal Church, and organized a Committee for Emergency Preparedness with all of the National Church Organizations.• Responded to disasters to support the Dioceses with technical assistance in community building and organizing, and assisted the Diocese of Louisiana and Mississippi in the development of their evacuation plans post Hurricane Katrina.• Responsible for COOP for the National Church Headquarters in New York City. Provided Emergency Management advice to Dioceses and churches nationally, and oversight of the recovery operations of New Orleans and Mississippi for the Episcopal Church.• Represented National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters to the National Incident Management System Working Group – Comment Adjudication Meeting. Also represented National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters to the National Response Plan/National Incident Management System Training and Implementation Working Group, and served as Chair of the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster Public Policy Committee.
