Richard Perea is the Founder and Principal of Wealth Management Associates, LLC ("WMA"​), a firm that served institutional clients only. Originally a financial planning firm, WMA evolved into one that provided its services to clients establishing proprietary trading firms to be owned by other institutions and/or Reg D Qualified Investors. Examples of WMA's former activities include establishing trading relationships (counter-parties) for international fixed-income and options-based proprietary trading firms. In 1999, Richard was awarded the Chairman's Award at American Express Corporation for his role in enabling American Express to seamlessly provide trust and estate services to American Express clients on a global basis. In cooperation with American Express Bank, he established a pilot program for servicing the retail clients of non-U.S. banks in New York. His licensing background includes FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 Securities Licenses. Richard is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) Emeritus.Wealth Management Associates is no long actively seeking clients and appreciates the confidence expressed by those individuals and firms associated with WMA over its twenty-year history. In May of 2022 Richard assumed the duties of a Docent at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida--the only encyclopedic fine-arts museum in the State. Richard's focus is late nineteenth-and-early-twentieth-century European art.
