Now in its third generation the company has three unique divisions: Home Building, Land & Excavation Services, as well as Property Management & Leasing Services. Pettit Homes, LLC is a Virginia Class A Builder. Our Excavation and developing company operates as Pettit Development, LLC , which provides excavation and developing services for many of the largest Metro Area Builders. Lastly, the leasing and property management operates under Pettit Management Services, Inc. which oversees Flower Hill Shopping Center, Flower Hill Professional Center, & Airpark One Warehouses in Gaithersburg, MD 20879.The company is active in the political arena surrounding the building industry in the Washington Metropolitan area. The company is also active in civic and charitable orpganizations. Both John and Richard are past presidents of the Suburban Maryland Building Industry Association (SMBIA) and Richard B. Pettit currently serves on the Executive Committee and as a Life Director. Richard also serves on the Executive Committee for the Maryland State Builders Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Home Builders for many years. Richard is also active in the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
