Richard demonstrated prescience by developing the platform utilizing virtualization and open-source technology before the industry was talking about “the cloud”. The utilization of these two technologies not only enabled the company to offer such a service, but saved millions of dollars in infrastructure and development costs, even in the security-sensitive, heavily-regulated healthcare industry.
