    Richard joined Parking Concepts, Inc. (PCI) in November 2009, as Director of Operations. In this position, he oversees the parking operations of many properties throughout the Los Angeles area. He had, immediately prior, worked for Walker Parking Consultants, as a consultant, beginning in 2000. He specialized in parking operations, including valet parking and revenue integrity. Richard had been previously been employed by the Beverly Hilton Hotel in the capacity of Director of Guest Services for the previous five years. Among his various duties of the overall day-to-day hotel management was the operation of the valet parking department and a 500-space self-park garage. The valet operation was responsible for hotel guest parking, as well as valet parking for over 250-special events a year, many very high profile. These events included The Golden Globe Awards, and the Carousel of Hope - the largest charity ball in the world. The valet department at the Beverly Hilton was consistently judged to be one of the most courteous and efficient operations in the nation. The parking department earned in excess of $5,400,000 in annual gross revenue.Richard's acknowledged qualifications in the parking industry have led to expert testimony engagements in a variety of legal disputes such as: parking lease interpretations, personal injury and financial loss law suits.Richard has authored articles on valet parking and on customer service as it is related to the parking industry, and contributed a chapter about valet parking management to the International Parking Institute's parking manual, "Parking Management - The Next Level". Richard was interviewed in 2008 by National Public Radio (NPR) Marketplace regarding the future of on-street parking.
