DUTIES: business and product requirements definition, built consolidated program schedule with partners, lifecycle & milestone definition and mgmt, led system team, integration and leadership meetings, program team and executive reporting, partner relationship mgmt, defect metrics definition and tracking, software release mgmt, quality initiatives, risk mgmt, issues tracking and resolution, documentation mgmt, mentoring.[2003-2010] DROVE ENTERPRISE CLASS SMP SERVER PROGRAMS TO 10 SUCCESSFUL RELEASES (3 MAJOR, 7 MINOR): high end (16-64 multiprocessor) systems, involving ~1,000 technical staff representing both multidisciplinary (VLSI, HW, FW, Drivers, OS, Apps) teams and multifunctional (R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, Services, 3rd Parties) organizations with competing interests. Managed overall program lifecycle, driving requirements closure and negotiating alignment. With partners, built and iterated implementation plans w/supporting milestones and detailed team schedules, then managed execution: risk/issues/change management, facilitating dozens of weekly meetings to drive progress to plan, reporting progress to Executive team. [2003-2010][2007] AGILE DEVELOPMENT ENABLED EARLY PARTNER INTEGRATION USING TIME BOXED ITERATIONS/RELEASES: Server firmware required for next gen Unix 3.0 release (1,000+ staff) started 12 months behind schedule, volatile relationship due to prior slips, zero deliveries. With FW team validated Agile model through monthly incremental feature drops defined by use cases and acceptance tests, enabled by unit testing and continuous integration. Built credibility through Velocity metrics and as each release met target date. Result: caught up and beat Unix release.
