Systems EngineerActive Control Experts 1997 - 2002ACX’s initial market was in sporting goods, but it quickly expanded into the automotive, hand held electronics, flat panel speaker, and semiconductor capital equipment sectors. To meet growing demands, I helped modernize the fabrication floor, designing automated test fixtures which increased manufacturing cell throughput and improved yield. I also invented new actuator designs which synthesized high volume manufacturing techniques with ACX’s proprietary piezoceramic packaging method. This enabled ACX to sell products at lower price points and moved ACX from low volume markets into higher volume sectors like hand held electronics and automotives.As ACX evolved from a component supplier to a system supplier, I was called on to coordinate cross functional teams. This entailed organizing larger teams of engineers, technicians and manufacturing staff, focusing on project goals, managing development costs, and interfacing with customers.
