Ballistic Burgers is a mobile fast-food delivery service that launched during the COVID-19 pandemic with a mission to deliver convenient dining experiences right to people’s doorsteps. We fuse contemporary fast food with Africa’s rich grassroots culinary traditions, while leveraging emerging technologies to create an exceptional customer experience. Our ambition is to become Africa’s leading fast-food chain, starting with Rwanda. We are dedicated to job creation, positively impacting supply chains, promoting eco-friendly practices, and offering unique food experiences that can only be found in this part of the world.

As the Product Function Lead, I collaborated with a lean team of user researchers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and usability testers to identify market opportunities. Utilizing research-driven insights and human-centered design processes, we designed, tested, and deployed innovative supply chain management and logistics solutions.

As Head of Technology at DMM.HeHe, I oversaw the Engineering, Infrastructure, and Insights departments. The technology division combined expertise in product design and software engineering to build, test, deploy, and analyze HeHe's diverse range of technologies. By implementing effective project management processes, staying abreast of technology trends, and harnessing the power of data, the team drove continuous innovation.

As Head of Product, I led a multidisciplinary team of user researchers, data scientists, UI/UX designers, testers, and front-end developers, overseeing the entire product lifecycle and portfolio. I provided the engineering team with strategic insights and guidelines to ensure a human-centered approach to solution development, from testing and validation to deployment. I also played a key role in driving product adoption by offering hands-on support and training.

Co-founder & Creative Director at HeHe Labs, an award-winning mobile technologies company dedicated to connecting people with relevant information by developing tailored mobile solutions for the African continent in the information age.As Creative Director, I focused on shaping the brand’s creative direction, overseeing user experience and interface design, and refining the design processes for the solutions we delivered to clients. I also contributed to talent development programs aimed at preparing employable young professionals for the emerging tech sector. During my tenure, the solutions we designed and implemented reached over 2 million people across various sectors, including agriculture, retail, healthcare, and transportation. Through our innovation program, we introduced over 600 young talents from high schools and universities into the marketplace, with some becoming industry thought leaders and others founding startups.In April 2017, HeHe Labs was acquired by DMM, a Japan-based internet company, and became DMM.HeHe.

I was tasked with conducting a comprehensive assessment of how mobile technology could enhance trade for women entrepreneurs in Rwanda, with a special focus on women in rural areas. My research extended beyond women entrepreneurs to include regulators, government agencies, the Private Sector Federation, telecom operators, and non-governmental organizations. The analysis and recommendations defined the scope of the solution and a prototype, ultimately leading to the development of a mobile-based application designed to support these women in their businesses.

I supported Rwandatel's expansion plan in Rwanda’s Southern Province, with a focus on the University of Rwanda's campus community and its surrounding area, targeting a population of approximately 50,000. I proposed and implemented creative strategies for mass distribution of newly introduced internet and value-added services, while also ensuring Rwandatel's regional agents had access to products for distribution.
