I was then promoted to Financial Manager for a project in Egypt, opening the Port Ghalib Resort in 2007 where the property included three hotels with over 900 rooms and various other conferencing and banqueting revenues, wholly responsible for the finance function and reporting to the resort Operations Director and the investment company. I was then promoted to Financial Manager for a project in Egypt, opening the Port Ghalib Resort in 2007 where the property included three hotels with over 900 rooms and various other conferencing and banqueting revenues, wholly responsible for the finance function and reporting to the resort Operations Director and the investment company. When the contract finalized I moved back to South Africa to the iconic Sun City Resort as Financial Manager for shared services responsible for the entire resorts transactional accounting, warehouse and procurement, project finance, and cashiering teams with over 150 staff from those disciplines. I followed this by making a lateral move to Finance Manager for a Hotel Casino property, Morula Casino and Hotel, to assist them in a restructuring program to improve the properties financial performance and to prepare for the possible movement of the license to the centre of Pretoria.
